Delta Air Lines is set to celebrate its 100-year anniversary with a unique keynote event at the Sphere in Las Vegas, hosted by CEO Ed Bastian. Scheduled for January 7, 2025, the presentation will reflect on Delta's century-long legacy of innovation and explore future technological advancements aimed at enhancing human experiences.

"Technology is a powerful tool, but it’s people that make true innovation possible," said Bastian. "We’re on the brink of a new era, and I can’t think of a better way to demonstrate how the Delta team will leverage cutting-edge advancements to propel our next century of flight."

This marks Delta's third participation at CES and its second mainstage keynote following Bastian's previous groundbreaking appearance as an airline speaker. In 2023, Delta announced fleet-wide benefits for SkyMiles Members during CES.

Gary Shapiro, CEO of CTA, expressed excitement about Delta's involvement: "After celebrating CTA’s centennial year, we recognize what a pivotal time this can be for an organization and we are thrilled Delta is sharing part of this special moment with us at CES." He added that he anticipates seeing how Delta will use technology to revolutionize travel.

The keynote will utilize Sphere's advanced technologies including the "Exosphere," recognized as the world's largest LED screen; the interior display plane boasting the highest-resolution LED screen globally; and Sphere Immersive Sound powered by HOLOPLOT. Jennifer Koester, President and COO of Sphere, commented on this collaboration: "Sphere is a powerful platform for brands to connect with key audiences...this keynote is going to be unlike anything this audience has ever experienced before."

Delta plans to offer expedited CES badging for SkyMiles Members at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport from January 5-7. More details about their presence at CES 2025 are expected soon.

In preparation for CES attendees traveling to Las Vegas, Delta is expanding its network between January 4-11, 2025. This includes additional services from 18 U.S. cities and four international hubs—Amsterdam, Paris, London Heathrow, and Seoul-Incheon—providing nearly 365 flights and approximately 12,000 extra seats. New flights from Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami, San Jose (California), Orange County (twice daily), and increased service from Sacramento are also part of this expansion.
