Modern Aviation has announced its plans to expand at Denver's Centennial Airport (KAPA) by acquiring an existing hangar and office complex. The property spans 6.5 acres and includes substantial facilities, such as 53,270 square feet of hangar space suitable for ultra-long-range business jets, 52,400 square feet of office space, and a 7,320-square-foot garage. While the two hangars are currently fully occupied, there is availability in the form of 15,000 square feet of Class A office space.
"We are very excited about acquiring these properties and expanding our footprint at [KAPA], which is a top-seven general aviation airport that is expected to grow well into the future," said Modern CEO Mark Carmen. "We’ve been seeking opportunities to grow our operation at [KAPA] since our original FBO acquisition there in November 2018."
In the previous year, Modern Aviation completed another expansion project at Centennial Airport that added significant new infrastructure: 52,000 square feet of hangar space, 4,000 square feet of office space, a new terminal spanning 7,000 square feet, and three acres dedicated to ramp area. With this recent acquisition included, Modern's facility now boasts a total of 179,000 square feet for aircraft shelter alongside 129,000 square feet allocated for office use.
