Gulfstream Aerospace's G700 program has gained significant momentum following its FAA certification on March 29. The company, based in Savannah, Georgia, has received type validations from eight countries and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency for its 7,700-nautical-mile business jet. Mexico is among the latest to approve the aircraft.

Since receiving approval in the United States just over three months ago, Gulfstream began delivering the initial units in April. While exact delivery numbers remain undisclosed ahead of the company's July 24 quarterly earnings call, analysts estimate that around eight jets had been delivered by early July. The fleet has already surpassed 700 flight hours, indicating progress within the program.

Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream, commented on the success: “We planned for a seamless entry into service for the G700, and this incredible start is a testament to both the maturity of the program and the dedication of the Gulfstream team.” He added that customer feedback has been outstanding as clients begin flying their aircraft globally immediately upon delivery.

The G700 model is also achieving city-pair speed records. Notable flights include Paris to Montreal in 6 hours and 16 minutes and São Paulo to White Plains, New York, in 8 hours and 46 minutes. Both flights maintained an average speed of at least Mach 0.90. These records are pending recognition by both the U.S. National Aeronautic Association and Switzerland's Fédération Aéronautique Internationale.

These achievements will bring nearly 60 record flights for this ultra-long-range model.
