Business aircraft flight activity experienced a decline in June, with a 3.4% drop compared to the previous year, according to TraqPak data from Argus International. North America saw a decrease of 4.9%, while Europe experienced an 8% reduction. However, these declines were somewhat offset by an 18.5% increase in other regions worldwide.
Argus analysts had anticipated a 3.2% decrease in North American activity for June and project a slight increase of 0.2% for July. In contrast, European flying is expected to decline by another 5.1%.
In North America, fractional flying rose by 12.1% year over year in June, but Part 135 and Part 91 activities decreased by 5.3% and 10.2%, respectively. Midsize jets experienced the smallest reduction at just 0.2%, while light jets fell by 5.9%, turboprops by 6.3%, and large-cabin jets by 10.4%. Fractional midsize jets performed well with a significant increase of 14.8%, whereas Part 135 large-cabin jet operations suffered the most substantial decline at 15.2%.
