Sheltair, an FBO operator and aviation real estate developer, has initiated construction on a new hangar complex at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Central Florida. The facility will encompass 34,500 square feet and include thirty T-hangars, each measuring 40 feet by 30 feet with a door height of 15 feet. These hangars are designed to accommodate very light jets such as the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet. The development will also feature 37 parking spaces for customer vehicles and two restrooms.

Situated next to KMLB's tower, the project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025. Sheltair is currently accepting pre-opening leases for the space.

“The ability to accommodate an additional 30 smaller aircraft with new T-hangar facilities will be an invaluable asset to our Melbourne operation,” said Sheltair COO Todd Anderson. “As the region’s businesses thrive, so does the airport. We’re dedicated to meeting its needs every step of the way.”
