Zhao Dong, Chairman and Party Secretary of Xiamen Airlines, participated as the sole Chinese director alongside 24 other directors, including UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and UNGC Director General Sanda Ojiambo. During the event, Zhao Dong highlighted China's strategic vision and achievements on issues like "national network construction" and "China-Africa cooperation." He also shared insights into Xiamen Airlines' sustainable development efforts with Secretary General Guterres.

He emphasized adapting to local circumstances, commercial operations, and win-win cooperation to promote business for good. Additionally, he spoke about challenges faced by Chinese enterprises and his commitment to strengthening their connection with the UNGC.

The focus on "Promoting South-South cooperation through sustainable development cooperation between Chinese and African enterprises" is central to the UNGC's strategy involving China.
