Air New Zealand is set to introduce a new twist to its inflight quiz this November, featuring questions submitted by trivia enthusiasts from across New Zealand. The airline received over 1,400 quiz questions after inviting the public to contribute their best brainteasers. From these submissions, more than 250 questions have been selected for use onboard throughout the month. Each question will include the name and region of the person who submitted it.

Scott Carr, Air New Zealand's General Manager Domestic, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative: "We asked our customers to flex their trivia muscles, and they certainly delivered! From fun local facts to obscure knowledge, the variety was fantastic."

Some of Carr's favorite questions include: "What do polydactyl cats have more of than other cats?", "Which Southland town is the self-proclaimed Sausage Capital of New Zealand?", and "Which country invented the dish Pavlova?" Passengers flying on domestic jets in November will have access to different sets of questions on north and south-bound flights, ensuring a unique experience each way.

In addition to introducing new content, Air New Zealand will unveil a refreshed look for its inflight quiz. The redesign aims to enhance readability with more space for questions and answers and introduces new question formats. According to Carr, "Our quiz is a beloved staple of domestic jet flights, so we've redesigned it to make it even more engaging."

The inflight quiz has been a feature on Air New Zealand flights since 2008 and continues to be a popular activity among passengers.
