Rosie Tran's career as a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines began in February 2015, leading her to embrace new challenges and opportunities. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, including joining the hiring team and working on special projects like one on O‘ahu in 2022. Each experience has enriched her career.

Rosie's journey has brought her confidence and a sense of wholeness. She expressed gratitude for her adventures with Alaska Airlines, which have shaped her into who she is today. "It’s been nearly 10 years as a flight attendant now and I can truly say that it’s the best and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else," Rosie stated. "Upon reflecting, I can’t help but share that I am so incredibly grateful."

Initially hesitant about joining the aviation world due to social anxiety, Rosie decided to challenge herself by booking a solo trip to Europe before starting training. That three-week adventure was life-changing for her, giving her the confidence she needed.

Reflecting on connections made during flights, Rosie said: “It’s wild to think that if I hadn’t met her on that quick flight, I may have never created my platform and have this incredible online community that I connect with every day.”

The people she meets are Rosie's favorite part of working for Alaska Airlines. Some colleagues have become close friends and mentors. She also enjoys bringing family along on work trips during holidays.

Beyond friendships, small acts of kindness mean the most to Rosie in her role as a flight attendant. “Whether it’s offering to hold a baby so a mom can take a quick break...I’ve learned that being a flight attendant can kind of be like being a superhero in disguise,” she shared.

When considering what makes her feel whole, Rosie reflects on overcoming fears of doing things alone by trusting herself more over time.

Rosie looks forward to many more adventures with Alaska Airlines while cherishing unforgettable memories made along the way.
