Lufthansa is set to introduce its new Allegris First Class on November 9, marking a significant upgrade in its long-haul cabin offerings. The first flights will head to Bangalore on November 9 and Mumbai on November 15, with these destinations being served alternately by the new First Class.

The Airbus A350-900 will feature two individual suites and the unique Suite Plus. Initially, Lufthansa plans to showcase this innovative product to select loyal guests before gradually making it available for upgrades and bookings as more aircraft are equipped with the new class.

The First Class Suite boasts features such as customizable seat temperature control, ceiling-high walls with lockable doors, a large table, wide seating, a personal wardrobe, and individual lighting options. The Suite Plus offers enhanced comfort for solo travelers while allowing travel partners to share a suite.

In addition to the new cabin experience, Lufthansa has been recognized for its advancements in in-flight entertainment. The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) awarded Lufthansa for its research into virtual reality headsets. Collaborating with Meta and MSM.Digital, Lufthansa is testing mixed reality technologies on flights equipped with Allegris. Business Class passengers can use VR headsets to enjoy cinema-style movies, VR travel podcasts, interactive games, and relaxation exercises.
