FedEx Corp. publicou seu relatório anual de impacto econômico, destacando o papel da empresa na economia global durante o ano fiscal de 2024. O estudo, desenvolvido em parceria com a Dun & Bradstreet, explora o "Efeito FedEx", que se refere ao impacto da companhia no fluxo de mercadorias e ideias que impulsionam o crescimento econômico.

Raj Subramaniam, presidente e CEO da FedEx Corporation, afirmou: “Na FedEx, temos a visão de tornar as cadeias de suprimentos mais inteligentes para todos, aproveitando dados e tecnologia avançados para melhor atender nossos clientes e seus clientes, ampliando assim nosso alcance e impacto.” Ele também mencionou que o "Efeito FedEx" reflete o compromisso contínuo da empresa com a excelência e o crescimento econômico.

O relatório indica que a FedEx contribuiu com mais de US$ 85 bilhões em impacto direto para a economia global no ano fiscal de 2024. Isso representa cerca de 0,1% da produção econômica líquida mundial. A empresa emprega mais de 500.000 pessoas em suas operações globais e movimenta uma média diária de 16 milhões de pacotes.

A FedEx também tem investido substancialmente em sustentabilidade e infraestrutura. No Brasil, inaugurou sua primeira unidade do Centro de Envios FedEx na rua no Rio de Janeiro e introduziu vans elétricas equipadas com inteligência artificial para aumentar a segurança das operações.

Os esforços ambientais incluem ainda modernizações na frota aérea do México e uso crescente de energia renovável nas instalações brasileiras. As iniciativas sociais abrangem desde doações até apoio emergencial após desastres naturais.

Entre os destaques do relatório estão as melhorias operacionais contínuas na rede terrestre global da FedEx e seu apoio às pequenas empresas através do Programa FedEx para Micro e Pequenas Empresas.
