Universal Destinations & Experiences has announced the opening of its first year-round horror attraction, Universal Horror Unleashed, in Las Vegas. This new venture will debut in 2025 at Area15 and is designed to offer a permanent immersive horror experience outside of Universal's traditional theme parks.

The announcement was made on Halloween, aligning with Universal's longstanding association with the horror genre. Page Thompson, president of new ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, stated that "Universal's rich history in the creation of the horror genre drove our desire to bring a year-round horror experience to the incredible entertainment offerings in Las Vegas."

The attraction will feature four haunted houses: Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping, and Blumhouse's The Exorcist: Believer. According to Universal, these experiences "aren't for the faint of heart" and promise intense moments where guests are surrounded by horror.

In addition to the haunted houses, visitors can expect live entertainment, themed food and drinks from bars and eateries, and a selection of spooky merchandise. The venue is also designed to accommodate seasonal updates for special events.

This development marks a significant expansion of Universal's horror offerings beyond its well-known Halloween Horror Nights events held annually at various theme parks worldwide. With this permanent installation in Las Vegas, Universal aims to elevate its experiential storytelling capabilities.

As more details emerge about Universal Horror Unleashed, potential visitors can anticipate further announcements regarding its official opening date.
