Gategroup appoints new leaders for expansion into Southern Europe and Africa

Gategroup has announced key appointments as part of its strategy to expand in the Southern Europe and Africa region. Guy Zacklad has been named Managing Director of Servair and its subsidiaries, overseeing catering and cleaning operations in mainland France, overseas territories, and Africa.

Servair will now report to Gategroup's Southern Europe and Africa (SEA) region, which is led by Sébastien Burnier. Burnier will continue in his role as Chief Operating Officer of Gategroup and a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Guy Zacklad brings extensive experience from Air France, where he held several management roles, including Director of the CDG Hub and Ground Operations. His background also includes positions within the French civil service as a Senior Advisor to both the Minister of Employment and the Minister of Industry. Zacklad is an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure with a degree in mathematics and is a Corps des Mines engineer.

Sébastien Burnier joined Gategroup after working with SATS group, focusing on operations, transformation, operational excellence, and team cohesion initiatives. Over two decades, he has held various management roles related to quality, supply chain, and operations management. He holds an engineering degree from Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris and is certified in production and logistics management by the Association For Supply Chain Management.
