Delta Air Lines has been recognized as a leader among U.S. airlines in the Forbes Travel Guide’s inaugural Verified Air Travel Awards, achieving first place in five categories. The airline was noted for its "strong reputation for its consistency, loyalty program and customer service," earning it the title of Best U.S. Airline.

Allison Ausband, E.V.P. and Chief Customer Experience Officer at Delta, stated: “We continue to make significant investments throughout every point in our customers' travel journey to deliver the elevated experiences they want and deserve.” She added that these recognitions are a testament to Delta's efforts and the dedication of its staff.

Forbes Travel Guide determined the winners by surveying 5,000 experienced individuals from the hospitality industry. The results were validated by experts using FTG's established Star Ratings system.

Delta also received top honors for Best Domestic Business Class, which features amenities such as Missoni amenity kits with Grown Alchemist products and 180-degree flatbed seats. Passengers enjoy access to Delta One lounges and Sky Priority services on the ground.

The JFK Delta One lounge was awarded Best U.S. Airline Lounge. It offers an expansive space with a year-round terrace, relaxation pods, shower suites, and fine dining options exclusively for Delta One passengers.

Delta's SkyMiles program was named Best Loyalty Program due to benefits like complimentary Wi-Fi on most domestic flights, miles without expiration dates, and partnerships allowing members to earn miles with over 20 partners.

The airline’s app was recognized as Best Airline App for its user-friendly features including seat upgrades, gate change notifications, baggage tracking, airport navigation assistance, and more.

Delta’s innovations were highlighted in other areas as well. The Transportation Security Administration received Innovation of the Year recognition for its facial recognition technology rollout through Delta Digital ID at several hubs since 2021.

LaGuardia Airport was acknowledged as Best U.S. Airport following an $8 billion overhaul that included a $4 billion investment from Delta to modernize Terminal C into a state-of-the-art facility.

This adds to Delta’s accolades in 2024 from organizations such as J.D. Power, Cirium, and The Points Guy.
