Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines has been recognized with the 2025 Five Star Major Airline Award by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). This accolade highlights STARLUX's commitment to delivering an exceptional in-flight experience, as rated by travelers worldwide. The award evaluates cabin comfort, catering quality, in-flight entertainment, connectivity services, and cabin service.

The APEX awards are unique as they rely solely on neutral, third-party passenger feedback. For the 2025 Awards, over one million PNR verified flights were assessed across more than 600 global airlines using a five-star scale with stringent criteria.

STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai expressed his pride: “At STARLUX, we are thrilled and deeply honored to receive this prestigious award. This achievement is a testament to the tireless dedication of our entire team. Launching just two months before the pandemic and beginning full-scale operations in 2023 makes this milestone even more remarkable. Our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety has truly made a difference, and we are excited to continue providing an exceptional travel experience for our passengers.”

STARLUX combines modern luxury with Taiwanese heritage across its fleet, which averages just over two years old. It operates 24 Airbus aircraft including models like the A321neo, A330-900, and A350-900. The airline covers 26 routes throughout Asia and three major U.S. West Coast cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Plans include increasing flights on these routes; Los Angeles will see ten weekly flights starting December 22 while Seattle will have daily service from March next year.
