Emirates has announced a new collaboration with Spotify to enhance its inflight entertainment offerings. The partnership will provide Emirates' global customer base with access to curated content from Spotify, including popular music playlists and top podcasts in English, Portuguese, Tagalog, and German. Additional languages such as Spanish and Hindi are expected to be added in 2025.

The collaboration will introduce more than 140 episodes of diverse podcasts covering business, sports, entertainment, and true crime. These podcasts feature renowned personalities like Trevor Noah in "What Now?", which includes candid conversations with celebrities and thought leaders. Other notable podcasts include "The Bill Simmons Podcast", featuring discussions on sports and pop culture with guests such as Tom Hanks, Adam Sandler, and Larry David; the scripted podcast "Case 63" known for its immersive storytelling; and "The Journal", a podcast about money, business, and power produced by Spotify and The Wall Street Journal.

Spotify's signature playlists will also be available for Emirates customers, offering a personalized travel experience with mixtapes curated by Spotify's editorial experts. Among these are the "RapCaviar Mixtape" featuring hip-hop tracks, the vibrant "Viva Latino Mixtape", the nostalgic "All Out 90s Mixtape", along with the popular "Arabic Classics Mixtape" and "Jazz Classics Mixtape".

This partnership adds to Emirates' award-winning inflight entertainment system known as ice. The system already offers over 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in more than 40 languages. Customers have access to more than 4,000 hours of movies and TV channels, up to 3,500 hours of music and podcasts, over 2,000 Hollywood and internationally acclaimed movies, along with dedicated kids' channels and full box sets from providers like Paramount+, HBO Max, Discovery+, BBC, Bloomberg Originals, and Shahid.

Emirates continues to receive praise for its inflight connectivity experience where all customers can enjoy some form of free Wi-Fi inflight as part of their Skywards membership benefits.
