The seventh China International Import Expo recently opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. FedEx, a leading global express transportation company, showcased its diverse innovative services and sustainable development initiatives under three themes: "Promoting Growth," "Focusing on Service," and "Sustainable Development." The company highlighted its unique value to customers and its role in seamlessly connecting China with global markets over the past 40 years.

FedEx's booth featured an open design with rich visual materials, exhibits, and simulation models, creating an immersive experience for visitors. A unique "runway" design on top of the booth symbolized FedEx's milestones in China's market over four decades, underscoring its commitment to long-term development in China. The booth also allowed visitors to experience FedEx's latest practices in technological innovation and sustainability through real exhibits and live demonstrations. An interactive game called the "'Carbon' Seeker Action" offered attendees a chance to engage with FedEx's efforts to protect the planet. During the expo, FedEx will host three lectures aimed at promoting business growth in China and strengthening ties with government agencies, customers, and partners.

FedEx Senior Vice President and President of China Operations Xu Baoyan stated: "The CIIE is an important platform for promoting international trade. FedEx is honored to showcase our journey of growing together with the Chinese market over the past 40 years and demonstrate our achievements in network capacity, service products, digital innovation, and sustainability. From package delivery to heavy freight shipments, FedEx is committed to providing Chinese customers with reliable global distribution services and smart digital solutions that optimize supply chains while empowering their business growth, promoting high-quality development in China, and supporting global economic growth."

At this year's expo booth, FedEx highlighted several new initiatives in the Chinese market:

- Promoting Growth: FedEx continues to optimize its air transport network layout in China by opening new international cargo routes from Qingdao and Xiamen to the United States. It plans to establish international gateway operation centers in these cities to enhance connectivity between China and international markets. In October this year, FedEx successfully completed its first round-trip panda transportation mission by flying six pandas between the U.S. and China on two flights.

- Focusing on Service: In China, FedEx has enhanced logistics services by adding online import customs declaration tools. It expanded its "FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP)" service coverage to Europe and America markets, offering more flexible logistics solutions for customers. The company has also adopted emerging technologies like intelligent warehouse counterbalance forklifts to efficiently respond to heavy cargo transport needs.

- Sustainable Development: In China, FedEx practices sustainable development by increasing vehicle electrification deploying green roofs rooftop solar power projects transforming old employee uniforms into new ones launching its Sustainability Insights tool which provides carbon emission data for cross-border shipments transported by Fedex.*
