Marriott Bonvoy credit cards offer a unique opportunity for cardholders to earn free night certificates annually, making them an attractive option even for those who do not frequently travel. Each card provides at least one certificate per year, which can often offset the cost of annual fees.

Three Marriott Bonvoy cards currently available include the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, and Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card. Each card offers distinct benefits in terms of points and fees. The Boundless card provides a 35,000-point certificate annually with a $95 fee. The Brilliant card offers an 85,000-point certificate with a $650 fee. The Business card gives a 35,000-point certificate each anniversary and another after spending $60,000 annually; it carries a $125 fee.

According to October 2024 valuations from TPG, these certificates hold values ranging from $298 to $723. It's noted that users can enhance their redemption value by adding up to 15,000 points to their awards.

Some additional cards like the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Card allow earning a 50,000-point free night after spending $15,000 within a calendar year.

Application restrictions are significant when considering these cards. For example, eligibility may be affected if you have recently held certain related cards or received bonuses within specified periods. Prospective applicants should review these rules carefully before applying to avoid disqualification.

Despite changes in Marriott's award chart structure towards dynamic pricing, there are still numerous redemption options under various point thresholds. Those holding all three mentioned cards can secure three free night certificates annually.

The potential value of these free nights often exceeds the associated annual fees of the credit cards. However, careful consideration of bonus eligibility rules is advised before proceeding with applications.
