Emirates Airline has been recognized as the "Best Airline in the World" at the ULTRAs 2024 Awards, held recently at Kensington Palace in London. The awards celebrate leaders in travel across various categories, with winners selected by a global network of affluent travelers.

Thierry Aucoc, Emirates Senior Vice President Commercial Operations in Europe and the Americas, and Jabr Al-Azeeby, Emirates Divisional Vice President in the UK, accepted the award on behalf of Emirates. The event was attended by prominent figures from the travel industry.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, expressed his gratitude for this recognition: “We’re delighted to be recognised as ‘Best Airline in the World’ by the prestigious ULTRAs. Our investments in product and services, in our people, training and technology, all aim to elevate the travel experience at every step of the journey so our customers truly ‘fly better’, and we’ll always work hard to raise the bar for them."

The airline is undergoing a significant refurbishment program worth billions of dollars that will see over 200 aircraft receive updated interiors. In addition to this initiative, Emirates continues to invest heavily in enhancing its travel experience through innovative products and advanced technologies.

In recent developments over the past year, eight fully refurbished aircraft have been introduced (including three A380s and five Boeing 777s), alongside an $11 million investment into new lounges for premium customers at London Stansted and Jeddah airports. Existing facilities at Paris Charles De Gaulle have also been upgraded. Furthermore, experiential travel stores were launched in Hong Kong, London, and Paris.

Emirates has expanded its global network with resumed services to Phnom Penh via Singapore and announced new routes such as Bogotá via Miami and Madagascar via Seychelles. From April 1 to September 30 this year alone saw a record-breaking number of passengers carried—26.9 million—across more than 148 destinations worldwide.

Apart from being honored at ULTRAs 2024 Awards; last month also marked another achievement when Forbes Travel Guide awarded five accolades including 'Best International Airline,' 'Best Culinary Programme,' among others during their Air Travel Awards ceremony.
