Boeing 727 aircraft continue to operate in North America, serving various purposes such as cargo transportation, private charters, and specialized flights. Seven operators, including USA Jet Airlines and Gulf & Caribbean Cargo, maintain one or two active Boeing 727s in their fleets.

According to data from ch-aviation.com for July 2024, there are eight active Boeing 727 aircraft among these seven operators. While more aircraft are stored and could potentially return to service, the current active fleet highlights the enduring presence of this iconic airliner.

USA Jet Airlines operates two Boeing 727-200(F) variants for cargo use from its base at Detroit Willow Run (YIP) in Michigan. Both aircraft were originally delivered to American Airlines before being converted for cargo operations.

Malibu Consulting utilizes a Boeing 727-100 in a VIP configuration for private charters. This aircraft was initially delivered to Pan American World Airways in 1967.

Raytheon Technologies uses a modified Boeing 727-200 as a Multi-program Testbed (RMT) for testing advanced sensors and systems since acquiring it from American Airlines in 2002.

Kalitta Charters II maintains an inactive fleet of nine Boeing 727-200(F) aircraft but remains prepared to bring them back into service if needed. These planes are part of their broader fleet alongside various Boeing 737 models used for cargo charter operations.
