The Gulfstream G350, a midsize private jet, offered a blend of large-cabin comfort, performance, and competitive pricing during its production from 2004 to 2012. With a base price of approximately $36 million, it was positioned as an attractive option for buyers who wanted large-cabin comfort without the need for ultra-long-range capabilities.

Gulfstream introduced the G350 in early 2004 with the promise that it "will offer customers the most cabin volume, the best performance, and the largest number of standard features compared to any aircraft in its class." Gulfstream President and CEO Bryan Moss stated, "With its competitive price and performance points, we are confident the G350 will appeal to business jet customers, especially those who previously may not have considered a Gulfstream in their business case," emphasizing the value proposition of this model.

The G350's cabin dimensions rivaled larger jets with a spacious stand-up cabin and luxurious amenities. It featured options like showers, private staterooms, entertainment centers, flat-screen monitors, and multiple seating configurations. The typical seating capacity ranged from 12 to 16 passengers within a three-zone cabin layout.

Powered by Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C engines producing 13,850 lbs. of thrust each, the G350 achieved impressive performance metrics. It had a maximum speed of 500 knots (Mach 0.75), a range of 3,800 nautical miles (7,038 km), and could reach a service ceiling of 45,000 feet. Its takeoff distance at sea level was recorded at 5,050 feet.

Technological advancements included the Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite with PlaneView cockpit technology and an optional Enhanced Vision System (EVS) with Heads Up Display (HUD). The aircraft also boasted an advanced environmental system providing fresh-air exchange and maintaining a comfortable cabin altitude.

Despite its short production run resulting in only eleven deliveries between 2005 and 2012, the G350 remains popular in the pre-owned market. Charter companies appreciate its luxury features and transcontinental capabilities. Operators like Paramount Business Jets offer charter services for $6,000 - $11,000 per hour.

Pilots have praised Gulfstream aircraft since earlier models like the G-1 turboprop; they appreciate the G350's advanced avionics suite for enhanced situational awareness and safety along with high dispatch reliability.

Sharing a common type rating with other Gulfstream models such as the G450 provides financial advantages for pilots trained on one model but qualified to fly others after additional training.

The Gulfstream G350 stands out in its category by offering large-cabin comfort alongside strong performance metrics while maintaining prestige at competitive pricing levels. It filled an important niche within its market segment where smaller aircraft were also prominent choices for buyers prioritizing cabin space over extreme long-range capability needs.
