dnata, a global provider of air and travel services, has announced a new multi-year contract with Azul Airlines at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in the United States. Under this agreement, dnata will deliver ramp services to the Brazilian airline, which runs two daily flights between Aeroporto Internacional de Recife-Guararapes (REC) and Orlando. This partnership is expected to enhance the travel experience for approximately 175,000 passengers on over 600 annual flights operated by Azul.

The addition of Azul Airlines brings dnata's ground handling services in Orlando to three airlines. A team of 150 aviation professionals supports these operations, ensuring safe and timely service for more than 12,000 flights each year.

David Barker, dnata’s regional CEO for airport operations in the Americas, stated: “We welcome Azul Airlines, one of our largest customers in South America, to Orlando. Since 2016, dnata has been working closely with Azul Airlines across 22 airports in Brazil and the USA. The company provides various ground handling services including logistics and cargo management to over 70 airline clients throughout the United States with a workforce of 3,300 employees focused on customer service. In the financial year 2023-24 alone, dnata managed over 60,000 flight turnarounds while serving more than 18 million passengers and handling around 200,000 tonnes of cargo within the country.

Founded in 1959, dnata offers a range of services such as ground handling, cargo transportations as well as travel catering across more than 30 countries on six continents. In its financial year ending in March 2023, dnata handled upwards of 710,000 aircraft turns globally while moving over 2.7 million tonnes of cargo and providing meals totaling up to about $1.9 billion in transaction value through their travel services.
