“Memorial Day weekend always marks the start of the summer travel season at LAX," stated Doug Webster, Interim Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Webster noted the increased demand for travel to and from Los Angeles due to school breaks and relaxed workdays. "Our airport staff and airline partners are aware of the projected wave of travelers to the region, and are ready and well-equipped to provide our guests with the best possible experience at LAX.”

LAX anticipates a rise in passenger and vehicle traffic this month and throughout summer. The airport offers several tips for travelers to reduce stress, enhance their journey, and ensure a smooth start to their summer travels.

Travelers meeting someone at LAX should check flight status and arrival terminal details beforehand. Real-time traffic and parking information is available via @FlyLAXstats on X (formerly Twitter).
