Emirates has delivered the NBA Cup trophy to New York, marking the beginning of the Emirates NBA Cup 2024. The trophy was transported from Dubai on an Airbus A380 featuring a special NBA-themed livery. The tournament began on November 12 and will conclude with a championship game in Las Vegas on December 17.

NBA legend James Worthy accompanied the trophy on its journey. Upon arrival in New York, it was handed over to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Emirates Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, West, Thierry Aucoc.

The flight offered a unique experience with basketball-themed cabin décor and a menu inspired by the sport. Passengers enjoyed watching classic NBA games and select live Cup games through the airline's entertainment system. First and Business Class passengers had the opportunity to interact with Worthy in the Onboard Lounge while enjoying traditional gameday snacks.

Passengers received commemorative memorabilia including replica aircraft models in the new NBA livery, luggage tags, and more. Until December 17, Emirates flights to and from 13 locations in the U.S. and Canada will feature NBA-inspired products and services.

Additionally, before flights until November 22, customers can enjoy an NBA-themed menu at Emirates lounges in several cities including Dubai and New York JFK.

Limited edition merchandise is available at the Emirates Official Store for basketball enthusiasts looking to own a piece of this event.
