In October, Airbus marked a significant milestone by delivering the first A321XLR to Iberia and securing an order for the A321neo from Riyadh Air. The European manufacturer also delivered two A319neo aircraft to China, specifically to China Southern Airlines and Tibet Airlines, reducing its backlog for this model.
Following these deliveries, Airbus has 35 A319neo aircraft remaining in its backlog. As of October 31, Airbus reported 57 orders for the A319neo, with over half of these orders placed by Chinese carriers: Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Tibet Airlines. Of their combined 29 orders, these airlines have received 15 aircraft.
The ACJneo series can be based on either the A319neo or A320neo models. Despite being smaller than the latter in terms of cabin space, the A319neo offers a greater range of up to 12,500 kilometers. According to ch-aviation predictions, another delivery to Tibet Airlines is expected in December.
