Piper Aircraft has introduced the Piper M700 Fury, a new addition to its M-Class family. This single-engine turboprop aircraft is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52 engine and is described as the fastest single-engine aircraft produced by Piper. The M700 Fury was officially launched in 2021 and has since undergone several production and testing phases.

The aircraft received type certification from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in March 2024, followed by FAA approval for unpaved field operations five months later. Ron Gunnarson, VP of Sales, Marketing & Customer Support at Piper Aircraft, commented on this achievement: “The FURY’s performance was exceptional considering the FAA’s rigorous testing requirements for unpaved field certification. The aircraft’s robust design and construction quality ensured seamless operations in all test conditions. The certification process was also smooth with the Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) flight test being completed in just one day.”

Additionally, the M700 Fury has been certified by other aviation authorities including the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Brazil's Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), and Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft, highlighted the features of the M700 Fury: "The M700 FURY is a beautifully efficient, cross-country thoroughbred that gives our customers a performance-based flight experience with economics never seen before. We listened, and we delivered. The M700 FURY encompasses power, performance, and the most advanced safety measures available today, as well as an overall value proposition that is extremely compelling to individuals and corporate flight departments alike."

The aircraft boasts advanced avionics with the Garmin G3000 suite and HALO Safety System which includes Emergency Autoland technology. This system can be activated manually or automatically if pilot incapacitation is detected.

The customizable interior options are designed to attract business travelers who seek personalized cabin experiences.
