Some U.S. airports are now offering fitness facilities within their terminals, providing health-conscious travelers and frequent flyers with options to stay fit while waiting for their flights. Five major U.S. airport hubs have implemented these amenities, allowing passengers to exercise, stretch, or relax.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has been a pioneer in this area since 2012 when it introduced the first yoga room at an airport. "SFO was the first airport to introduce a yoga room in 2012," reports Orbitz. Today, SFO offers two yoga rooms and a fitness studio operated by ROAM Fitness with gym equipment available for travelers.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) provides a premium fitness experience through its Hilton Athletic Club located within the Hilton Hotel connected to the airport. "The Hilton Athletic Club at O'Hare is fully equipped with cardio machines, free weights, a lap pool, and even a sauna," notes The Points Guy.
