Cathay Pacific has announced the resumption of its direct passenger flights to Hyderabad, starting March 30, 2025. This move is part of the airline's strategy to strengthen its network in India and enhance connectivity through its hub in Hong Kong.
Lavinia Lau, Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, stated: "We are delighted to be resuming our direct flights between Hong Kong and Hyderabad. These flights will provide customers with access to one of India’s most vibrant cities, known for its rich heritage and booming technology sector."
The service will initially operate three times a week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft. From September 1, 2025, this frequency will increase to five times weekly. Currently, Cathay Pacific operates 31 return flights per week to four Indian destinations: Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. By March 30, 2025, this number will rise to 39 return flights per week and further increase to 43 by September.
