Cathay Pacific has announced the resumption of its direct passenger flights to Hyderabad, starting March 30, 2025. This move is part of the airline's strategy to strengthen its network in India and enhance connectivity through its hub in Hong Kong.

Lavinia Lau, Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, stated: "We are delighted to be resuming our direct flights between Hong Kong and Hyderabad. These flights will provide customers with access to one of India’s most vibrant cities, known for its rich heritage and booming technology sector."

The service will initially operate three times a week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft. From September 1, 2025, this frequency will increase to five times weekly. Currently, Cathay Pacific operates 31 return flights per week to four Indian destinations: Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. By March 30, 2025, this number will rise to 39 return flights per week and further increase to 43 by September.

The new Hyderabad service aims to connect more travelers from India to Hong Kong and beyond via Cathay Pacific's extensive global network. The airline also offers ferry and coach transfer services within the Greater Bay Area through the SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport.

These intermodal codeshare services are designed for seamless connectivity from ticket purchase through baggage check-in at the final destination. "Our efforts to foster cultural connections and facilitate trade between our home city and India will continue as we further strengthen our network," added Lau.

Flight schedules for the new service have been released with varying frequencies over different periods until October 25, 2025.

In addition to passenger services, Cathay Cargo operates freighter flights between Hong Kong and India. For more details on flight schedules or transfer services offered by Cathay Pacific, interested parties can visit their official website.
