Numerous airlines have introduced new routes or resumed services this past week, marking significant developments in the aviation sector. Among these, AirAsia X has launched its longest route connecting Kuala Lumpur and Nairobi for the first time. The inaugural flight took off on November 15, utilizing an Airbus A330-300. This service marks AirAsia X's first venture onto the African mainland since it previously flew to Mauritius.

Iberia made history by launching the world's first long-haul commercial A321XLR service from Madrid to Boston on November 14. Initially operating three times a week, the frequency is set to increase to daily flights by mid-January and double daily by May next year. Iberia plans to introduce another long-haul route with this aircraft type to Washington Dulles starting January 15.

United Airlines inaugurated its first-ever Houston Intercontinental service to Medellín, Colombia, on November 13. This daily service uses a Boeing 737 MAX 8 and represents United's first flight between Texas and Medellín.

GOL Linhas Aéreas commenced nonstop flights from São Paulo to San José, Costa Rica, on November 13. Operating three times weekly with a Boeing 737 MAX 8, this new route serves both point-to-point passengers and those traveling from other parts of South America.

ITA Airways resumed nonstop flights between Rome and Bangkok after more than four years without direct connections between these cities. The service began on November 16 with an Airbus A330neo flying five times weekly.

In Europe, easyJet expanded its operations from Birmingham Airport with five new routes launched in early November. These include destinations such as Marrakech, Keflavik, Hurghada, Prague, and Kraków.

In the U.S., Frontier Airlines returned to Washington Dulles with new routes to Atlanta and Orlando starting November 14. Additional services are planned for Tampa in December. Meanwhile, Avelo Airlines added New Orleans and Montego Bay to its network on the same day as part of its expansion strategy.

Finally, Breeze Airways introduced Newark and Daytona Beach into its network beginning November 14, offering twice-weekly flights linking Westchester County Airport in New York with Florida's Daytona Beach International Airport.
