Delta Air Lines is collaborating with Shake Shack to introduce a new in-flight dining option for its passengers. Starting December 1, the airline will offer Shake Shack Cheeseburgers on flights departing from Boston, with plans to expand this service to other U.S. markets throughout 2025. The burgers will be available for First Class passengers on routes over 900 miles and can be pre-selected as a meal option.

Stephanie Laster, Delta's Managing Director of Onboard Service, expressed excitement about the partnership: "A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food – our customers know that which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack." She added that Shake Shack's commitment to community aligns with Delta's brand values.

The burger features a 100% Angus beef patty with cheese on a toasted potato bun. Passengers can customize their meal by adding toppings such as tomato, lettuce, and Shake Shack’s famous ShackSauce. The meal also includes chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.

Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack, commented on the collaboration: "At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are, even at 35,000 feet."

Passengers can make or edit their entrée selection up to 24 hours before departure using the Fly Delta app or via email link starting seven days prior.

This initiative builds upon previous collaborations between Delta and Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), whose founder also established Shake Shack. Meals from USHG’s catering arm are available on select Delta flights out of JFK.
