Citi has announced a new offer for its Citi Strata Premier℠ Card, allowing new cardholders to earn up to 75,000 bonus points. To qualify for this bonus, users must spend $4,000 on purchases within the first three months of opening their account. According to The Points Guy's November 2024 valuations, these ThankYou points are valued at 1.8 cents each, making the bonus worth approximately $1,350.

Historically, Citi has offered bonuses of up to 80,000 ThankYou points. Although the current offer is slightly lower, it still provides significant value. In May, the card underwent minor changes; however, the annual fee remained unchanged while some benefits were added.

The Citi Strata Premier Card is recognized for its earning potential in various categories: "10 ThankYou points per dollar on hotels, car rentals and attractions when booked through CitiTravel.com," "3 points per dollar at restaurants," "3 points per dollar at supermarkets," "3 points per dollar at gas stations and electric vehicle charging stations," "3 points per dollar on air travel and hotels," and "1 point per dollar on all other purchases."

ThankYou points can be transferred to 21 airline and hotel partners or used directly through the Citi ThankYou travel portal for booking flights and hotels. Users who prefer simplicity can redeem their welcome bonus for $750 of paid travel or gift cards.

Danyal Ahmed from TPG appreciates transferring his Citi ThankYou points to partners like Air France-KLM Flying Blue and Qatar Airways Privilege Club due to their favorable award charts.

Potential applicants should note that "Bonus ThankYou® Points are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a Citi Premier® or a Citi Strata Premier℠ account in the past 48 months."

Additional perks include "$100 annual hotel credit," free FICO score monitoring, lost wallet protection among others. Travel protections such as trip cancellation insurance and car rental coverage are also included.

In summary, with its attractive welcome bonus and extensive earning categories combined with valuable transfer partners, the Citi Strata Premier Card stands out as an appealing option for travelers looking to maximize rewards through everyday spending.
