The world of luxury and private aviation is no stranger to celebrities, with Canadian rapper Drake being a prominent figure in this realm. Known for his opulent lifestyle, Drake owns a customized Boeing 767, famously called "Air Drake." This aircraft is more than just a means of transportation; it reflects the artist's personality and status.

The Boeing 767-300F, originally owned by CargoJet, was gifted to Drake as part of a promotional partnership. The plane itself is valued at $185 million, with refurbishment costs exceeding $100 million. Operating the jet incurs millions annually. During tours, fuel expenses alone can surpass $1 million. In 2020, while Drake's net worth was estimated at $180 million, each tour reportedly earned him around $70 million.

CargoJet's decision to gift such an expensive aircraft stems from its previous collaborations with Drake for his touring logistics. The project aims to showcase CargoJet's capabilities in converting passenger planes into private jets. Through social media exposure by Drake and his team, CargoJet hopes the publicity will justify their investment.

"Supporting homegrown businesses has always been a top priority of mine," said Drake regarding his involvement with CargoJet.

The refurbishment took place in 2019 to meet the rapper’s tour needs. Designed by Louis Vuitton's creative director Virgil Abloh, Air Drake combines high-end fashion with street culture. The interior features gold fixtures, leather seats, exotic woods, plush velvet sofas, entertainment systems, and mirrors—resembling more of a palace than an aircraft.

Externally, the jet displays Drake’s OVO owl logo along with custom blue and white paintwork symbolizing sky and clouds. "We are very excited to partner with Drake as our ambassador," said Ajay Virmani, President of CargoJet.

Primarily serving Drake’s travel requirements for personal or professional purposes alongside accommodating his entourage comfortably during busy tours ensures he maximizes both time efficiency and style.
