As the Emirates A380 soared above The Sevens Stadium in Dubai, spectators captured the moment with videos and selfies. The aircraft took off from Dubai International Airport and made its first pass over the stadium at 15:42hrs, followed by a second pass at 15:47hrs. The flypast was executed at an altitude of 500 feet under the command of UAE National Captain Khalid Binsultan, Captain Mubarak Al Mheiri, and supported by Captain Abdalla Al Hammadi.

The event highlighted Emirates' dedication to the Emirates Dubai 7s tournament. Held during the UAE National Day weekend in December, this annual event has been part of a tradition spanning 54 years. It brings together top international rugby teams each year.

The 2024 edition coincided with the Eid al Etihad weekend from November 29 to December 1. It featured international athletes, global artists, and various hospitality experiences. Besides professional sports events like rugby, netball, cricket, and fitness competitions were also held for amateur teams. This diverse lineup aimed to cater to families, sports fans, festival attendees, and music enthusiasts alike.
