Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer are enticing Australian travelers with significant deals for Travel Tuesday, offering Triple Velocity Points and up to 4.5% cashback on reduced sale fares. This initiative aims to maximize value for holiday-goers in 2025.

The sales event, which mirrors the popularity of Travel Tuesday in the US, features over one million fares starting at $49. These fares are available for travel between January 6, 2025, and September 18, 2025. Bookings can be made until December 4, 2024, subject to availability.

Domestic flight offers include routes like Sydney to Ballina from $49 and Brisbane to Proserpine from $79. International highlights feature Melbourne to Queenstown from $405 and Sydney to Nadi from $569.

Libby Minogue of Virgin Australia commented on the appeal of Travel Tuesday: “Travel Tuesday isn’t just a sale, it’s a passport to adventure for all of our loyal customers at unbeatable prices." She emphasized the added benefits of triple Velocity Points and cashback offers as additional incentives.

Velocity members can earn triple Points not only on airfare but also through various travel partners such as hotels and car rentals. Additionally, DiDi is celebrating over one million rides by offering triple Points on all rides from December 3-5, along with bonus Points for first-time users linking their Velocity account.
