The University of Notre Dame, a prominent Catholic research institution established in 1842 and based in South Bend, Indiana, operates two Embraer Phenom 300 business jets. These aircraft facilitate the university's efforts to recruit talent across the United States by enabling travel to smaller airports.

One of these jets is an older model registered as N324FL. Manufactured in 2012 with a serial number of 50500075, it is owned by the University of Notre Dame. "So far, in 2024, the aircraft has flown over 175 total flights," accumulating more than "225 total flight hours." This jet frequently visits South Bend Regional Airport (SBN), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

The newer jet, registered as N385FX and manufactured in 2021 with a serial number of 50500630, is also owned by the university. It has conducted "a total of 739 flights" this year, totaling over "990 flight hours." Its most visited airports include Teterboro Airport (TEB), Dallas Love Field (DAL), and Scottsdale Airport (SCF).

Embraer's Phenom 300 has been a popular choice since its certification by the Federal Aviation Administration in December 2009. It remains the best-selling business jet globally for twelve consecutive years and averages more than "350,000 total flights per year" in the United States.

The Phenom 300 features Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535 turbofan engines that deliver nearly "3,500 pounds of thrust each." The aircraft can accommodate up to ten passengers with a range of "2,010 nautical miles."
