Norse Atlantic Airways has announced the addition of a third weekly flight between Berlin and Miami for the spring of 2025. The low-cost airline currently operates two flights per week on this route, but from March 5th to April 25th, 2025, an additional flight will be available. The service will use Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The schedule for these flights is as follows: Flight NO623 will depart Berlin Brandenberg Airport (BER) at 15:30 and arrive at Miami International Airport (MIA) at 20:10 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The return flight, NO624, will leave Miami at 22:15 and reach Berlin at 13:25 the following day on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

This expansion comes after Norse Atlantic Airways reported significant financial losses over the summer. In Q3 of 2024 alone, the airline lost $6.3 million—an increase from the $1.6 million loss during the same period last year—averaging a loss of about $3,500 per flight.

Berlin's transatlantic connections are limited; Miami is one of only two destinations served by Norse Atlantic Airways from Berlin. The other destination is New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), which also uses Boeing 787-9 aircraft for year-round service. While Norse Atlantic is currently the sole operator offering direct flights between Berlin and Miami, it faces competition on its New York route from Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.

From Miami International Airport, Norse Atlantic also provides year-round flights to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and seasonal winter flights to Oslo Airport (OSL).

According to ch-aviation data, Norse Atlantic Airways operates a fleet of twelve Boeing 787-9s with an average age of six years. These aircraft can carry between 338 and 344 passengers in mixed premium and economy class configurations. Seven planes are operated directly by Norse Atlantic Airways while five are managed by its UK subsidiary.

Berlin Brandenberg Airport handled over 23 million passengers last year, ranking as Germany's third-busiest airport behind Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Munich Airport (MUC). Other intercontinental services from Berlin include Qatar Airways to Doha (DOH), Hainan Airlines to Beijing (PEK), and Royal Jordanian Airlines to Amman (AMM).
