The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has expanded its presence in the United Arab Emirates by opening a new office and training center in Abu Dhabi. This move aims to support the Middle East's growing aviation sector and train future industry professionals.

His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, officially inaugurated the facility alongside IATA representatives and the first group of trainees. He stated, "The expansion of IATA’s presence in the UAE with a new training center reinforces the country’s position as a global aviation hub."

The Abu Dhabi office will serve airlines, trainees, strategic partners, and governments in the Middle East and beyond. Kamil Alawadhi, IATA’s Regional Vice-President for Africa and the Middle East, said, "We are proud to expand our presence in the UAE... Our aim is to facilitate further successful growth of the region’s aviation sector."
