Chase is expanding its network of airport lounges, with a new location opening today at San Diego International Airport. This marks the first Chase Sapphire Lounge on the West Coast. The lounge spans over 10,000 square feet and is located on the third floor of Terminal 2. It joins other facilities such as the Aspire Lounge, Delta Sky Club, United Club, and Be Relax Spa.

The San Diego lounge features local artwork, including surfboards by muralist Hanna Daly and a digital wall showcasing drone footage of the coastline. Amenities include private rest pods, digital meditations from Devi Brown, and facial treatments from Face Haus.

Guests can enjoy a curated menu featuring dishes from Oscars Mexican Seafood and coffee from Groundwork Coffee. Wines are provided by Parcelle. Dana Pouwels, Head of Airport Lounge Benefits at Chase, emphasized the importance of these openings: “When we opened our first domestic lounge, we were clear that expanding our footprint and elevating the on-trip experience for our Sapphire Reserve cardmembers was a priority."

The new lounge in San Diego follows last month's opening in Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport. The Phoenix lounge offers views across the airport and features snacks from a retrofitted Airstream food truck with selections from local restaurant The Larder & The Delta.

Access to Chase lounges is complimentary for primary card members of Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve, and The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card holders. Priority Pass Members have limited access within this network in the United States.

Upcoming locations include Philadelphia International Airport set to open in early 2025, Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport planned for mid-2025, and Los Angeles International Airport at an undisclosed date.

Chase cardholders already have access to over 1,300 Priority Pass lounges globally as well as select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges when flying with Star Alliance airlines.
