On December 3, 2024, two LATAM Airlines aircraft were involved in a ground collision at Sao Paulo Congonhas Airport. The incident happened during taxiing when the wingtip of an Airbus A320neo, registered as PR-XBG, struck the tail of a stationary Airbus A319, registered as PT-TMS. The A320neo was preparing for departure as flight LA3064 to Curitiba, while the A319 was parked at a stand for its scheduled flight LA3050 to Belo Horizonte.

Both flights were canceled following the collision, and passengers were accommodated on other flights. The low-speed collision resulted in damage to both aircraft but caused no injuries. Inspections and repairs are necessary due to the incident. Eyewitness reports on X (formerly Twitter) highlighted the extent of the damage and operational disruptions caused by the event.

LATAM Airlines has not yet released an official statement about the occurrence. Investigations into the cause are expected to follow as part of routine procedures for such incidents.
