In the aviation industry, codeshare agreements allow airlines to collaborate and offer passengers seamless travel experiences across different carriers. These partnerships have become common among airlines within the same alliance. However, there are notable exceptions where airlines outside of the same alliance engage in codeshare agreements.

Qatar Airways, a member of the Oneworld alliance, has a codeshare agreement with Air Canada, a Star Alliance member. Qatar Airways operates from its hub at Doha Hamad International Airport and connects with Air Canada's hubs at Montreal Trudeau International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. "Despite being a Star Alliance member, this codeshare partnership allows Qatar Airways to market flights within Canada in addition to its connecting itineraries," according to Qatar Airways' website.

Malaysia Airlines, another Oneworld member, collaborates with XiamenAir from SkyTeam. Their major hubs include Kuala Lumpur International Airport for Malaysia Airlines and Fuzhou Changle International Airport and Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport for XiamenAir. Additionally, Malaysia Airlines has a partnership with Turkish Airlines, which is part of Star Alliance. This collaboration connects their networks through Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Istanbul International Airport.

Air France, operating from Paris-Charles de Gaulle International Airport and part of SkyTeam, maintains a unique codeshare agreement with Finnair, a Oneworld member based at Helsinki Airport. Singapore Airlines also engages in cross-alliance cooperation by partnering with Alaska Airlines. Singapore Airlines is part of Star Alliance and operates from Singapore Changi International Airport while Alaska Airlines is associated with Oneworld and has significant operations at Seattle Tacoma International Airport.

These partnerships illustrate how airlines can extend their reach beyond traditional alliances to provide passengers with more travel options.
