In a recent collaboration, over 800 Delta volunteers contributed to the construction of four new homes in Browns Mill Village, Atlanta. This effort was part of a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and supported by several corporations and foundations, including The Delta Air Lines Foundation. With these additions, Delta has built a total of 12 homes in Browns Mill Village and has been involved in building or rehabilitating 287 homes with Habitat for Humanity.

Emmakate Young, head of Brand at Delta, emphasized the company's mission: "At Delta, our mission to connect the world creates opportunities, fosters understanding and expands horizons by connecting people and communities to each other and to their own potential." She expressed pride in the role Delta employees played in helping families achieve homeownership despite challenges.

One of the new homeowners, Zhonvieve, shared her experience: “Homeownership to me means safety, community and building tradition. Delta came and showed up and showed out! Their employees were so upbeat, eager and wanted to help. I am so grateful to Habitat and Delta for their support in building my home. I am overcome with joy, happiness and to have a safe environment where I can raise my daughter.”

Rosalyn Merrick, President and CEO of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity praised the partnership: "Delta is the partner every organization dreams of, and Atlanta Habitat is incredibly fortunate to have a partner that cares deeply serves enthusiastically, and gives generously." She acknowledged Delta's commitment to empowering working families through affordable homeownership.

Since 1995, Delta volunteers have participated in building or rehabbing homes across 13 countries with Habitat for Humanity. The initiative includes funding from recycling programs within Delta’s operations. This process educates both volunteers and homeowners on sustainability efforts essential for future development.
