Boutique Air, a commuter airline based in San Francisco, California, began as an aviation technology company in the late 2000s. Over time, it has developed into a provider of commercial scheduled flights and private charter services. Boutique Air's fleet is exclusively composed of Pilatus PC-12 airplanes.

The airline has grown significantly since being authorized as a commuter air carrier by the US Department of Transportation (USDOT). This authorization allows Boutique Air to operate small aircraft with capacities of 60 seats or fewer on at least five round-trip flights per week.

Founded in 2007 by Shawn Simpson, a former Google employee, Boutique Air initially focused on aviation technology services. It soon expanded into charter flight operations using smaller aircraft for both cargo and passenger transport. In 2013, the company received commuter air carrier authority from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and USDOT, enabling it to offer scheduled flight services across the United States.

Boutique Air launched its first scheduled service in 2014 between Hawthorne Municipal Airport near Los Angeles and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The company also participates in the Essential Air Service (EAS) program, providing guaranteed scheduled services to rural communities and remote areas.

Its first EAS contract connected Clovis Municipal Airport in New Mexico to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. Since then, Boutique Air has secured several other contracts under this program.

Currently operating 21 Pilatus PC-12 turboprop-powered aircraft, Boutique Air is one of the largest operators of this model. These aircraft are known for their ability to land on short runways and have a maximum capacity of eight passengers.

Boutique Air operates various routes under the EAS program including daily flights connecting Boston Logan International Airport with Massena International Airport and Eastern Oregon Regional Airport with Portland International Airport. Additionally, it offers seasonal services such as flights between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Chippewa County International Airport.
