In recent developments, Jetstar, Australia's prominent low-fare airline, has initiated three new international routes over two days. The services launched from Brisbane, Sydney, and Sunshine Coast airports to destinations in New Zealand, Vanuatu, and Thailand.
Under CEO Stephanie Tully's leadership, Jetstar has improved its performance after a period of challenges involving flight cancellations and refund delays. The introduction of more Airbus A321LRs has enabled the airline to expand its route network significantly.
On December 12th, Jetstar's first-ever flight from Sydney to Vanuatu took off. Flight JQ123 departed Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport at 10:41 AM and landed at Port Vila Bauerfield International Airport after a journey lasting just over three hours. The service is set to operate up to four times weekly during peak periods.
