Airlines are expanding their long-haul international services to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), indicating the city's growing appeal as a global travel destination. As Seattle develops as a hub for business, culture, and tourism, airlines are increasing capacity for international routes. This month alone, over 1,500 international flights are scheduled at SEA.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport offers more than 30 international destinations. In December, Alaska Air Group announced direct flights between SEA and ICN starting in 2025. Condor has increased its flights between SEA and Frankfurt Airport from seven to eleven weekly flights. In August, Edelweiss Air introduced a new service between Seattle and Zurich.

Scandinavian Air Systems (SAS) is expanding its presence in the United States with direct flights to SEA in Washington State. Flights will resume in May, marking 57 years since the inaugural flight between these cities. "SEA continues to provide new opportunities to experience new regions of the world," said Lance Lyttle, Managing Director of SEA Airport.

Alaska Air Group is celebrating Seattle's launch as a new global gateway following its merger with Hawaiian Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines will begin nonstop service using widebody aircraft between Seattle, Tokyo, and Seoul in 2025.

Edelweiss Air's route between SEA and Zurich begins in June with twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Saturdays using Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

The International Arrivals Facility at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport was expanded two years ago to meet growing demand for international service and enhance passenger experience. The project cost $986 million without taxpayer funding.

Data from Cirium shows that Air Canada operates the most frequent international flight between Seattle and Vancouver this month with 148 flights. Eva Air follows with 88 flights between Seattle and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport using Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

British Airways connects Seattle with London Heathrow via two daily Boeing 787 variants offering various class options for passengers' comfort during the journey.

Volaris schedules 82 monthly flights linking Seattle with Guadalajara using Airbus A320 aircraft while maintaining competitive prices as an ultra-low-cost carrier.

Icelandair provides connectivity between SEA and Keflavik International Airport with scheduled flights offering passengers opportunities to explore Iceland's landscapes or continue their journey into Europe using Boeing 757-200 or Boeing 737 MAX8 aircraft models within its fleet.
