Airlines are expanding their long-haul international services to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), indicating the city's growing appeal as a global travel destination. As Seattle develops as a hub for business, culture, and tourism, airlines are increasing capacity for international routes. This month alone, over 1,500 international flights are scheduled at SEA.
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport offers more than 30 international destinations. In December, Alaska Air Group announced direct flights between SEA and ICN starting in 2025. Condor has increased its flights between SEA and Frankfurt Airport from seven to eleven weekly flights. In August, Edelweiss Air introduced a new service between Seattle and Zurich.
Scandinavian Air Systems (SAS) is expanding its presence in the United States with direct flights to SEA in Washington State. Flights will resume in May, marking 57 years since the inaugural flight between these cities. "SEA continues to provide new opportunities to experience new regions of the world," said Lance Lyttle, Managing Director of SEA Airport.
