Emirates has announced a series of Christmas-themed offerings for passengers flying this December. The airline plans to introduce special menus, drinks, and entertainment options both onboard and in its lounges.

The airline expects more than a million passengers this month, who will have access to various festive food and drink options. Across all four cabin classes, travelers can enjoy dishes and snacks accompanied by alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

In first class, passengers traveling on routes to the US and UK will be served Dom Pérignon Plenitude 2, 2004 champagne. Those on Dubai-UK flights can taste Château Mouton Rothschild 2003 from the Emirates Vintage Collection.

Economy class travelers can enjoy a main course of roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing, while dessert choices include fruit cake in orange sauce or mousse cake. From December 24-26, dark chocolate truffles will be available in economy class.

Premium passengers will find an array of starters such as salmon gravadlax and pickled herring. Main courses include turkey with jus or herb-crusted lamb shank among others. Desserts vary from gingerbread cookies in premium economy to raspberry Paris-Brest pastry in first class.

All cabins will offer hot chocolate with toppings between December 14-26. For Orthodox Christmas celebrations from December 24 to January 8, specific routes offer menu variations including Olivier salad and lobster tail starters.

Emirates' ICE system features over 40 Christmas-themed movies including recent releases like "Candy Cane Lane" starring Eddie Murphy. A selection of TV shows and holiday specials is also available alongside music tracks from artists like Sam Smith and Frank Sinatra.

In lounges located in Dubai's first-class area, desserts such as traditional stollen are offered alongside classic Christmas mains like roasted turkey with cranberry sauce. Business lounge desserts feature cherry pistachio tart among others.

Internationally, lounges in San Francisco and Los Angeles serve lobster bisque while other locations offer dishes like grilled Norwegian salmon in Cape Town or roasted duck in Hamburg.
