Hawaiian Airlines has opened its second lounge at Kahului Airport, providing an additional 1,175 square feet of space for travelers. The new facility is situated across from Gate 15 and can accommodate up to 36 guests. It will operate daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The design of the lounge takes inspiration from Maui's landscapes, sunsets, forests, and volcanoes. Guests will have access to charging stations, complimentary WiFi, and local snacks.

Johanna Franco, travel experience manager at Hawaiian Airlines, stated that the airline identified a need for more space for travelers at Maui-Kahului and undertook a nine-month process to open this second Premier Club lounge. "We're excited to continue to provide our guests with an elevated travel experience," she said.

The first lounge is located across from Gate 17 and operates from 6:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Both lounges are accessible to Premier Club members, Pualani Gold and Platinum members, as well as first-class travelers. Priority Pass members will gain access in the future.

Data shows that Hawaiian Airlines had scheduled 76 flights on December 16 from/to Maui-Kahului during peak hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which aligns with the new lounge's operating hours.

In August 2025, Hawaiian Airlines plans for 252 weekly flights from Maui-Kahului to various destinations including Las Vegas and Los Angeles. However, flights to Portland International Airport and San Diego International Airport will be taken over by Alaska Airlines due to its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in September.

Alaska Air Group recently unveiled its 'Alaska Accelerate' business plan aiming for financial growth by investing in premium travel experiences both onboard and on the ground through enhanced lounges and terminals.
