Frontier Airlines has expanded its operations to Eagle County Regional Airport in Colorado, marking the airline's second location in the state. The inaugural flights arrived from Texas and Denver, with a new route to California set to begin soon.
The airline's presence at Eagle County was first announced in October. This week, Frontier launched thrice-weekly services from Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. A weekly service to San Francisco International Airport will start on December 21st.
Eagle County Regional Airport is located 150 miles west of Denver International Airport and serves areas including Vail, Beaver Creek, and Aspen. Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines, commented on the expansion: "There is strong demand across the country for ultra-low fare travel to the Rockies, and we are thrilled to debut at EGE just in time for the peak ski and snowboard season."
