United Airlines has announced an expansion of its services from Denver International Airport, introducing eight new routes for the summer 2025 season. This move marks another step in United's growth at its fastest-expanding hub.

Among the new routes is a notable long-haul flight to Rome, set to begin on May 1, 2025. The seasonal service will operate daily until September 24, 2025. United plans to use a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for this route, offering various seating options including Polaris business-class pods and Economy Plus seats.

In addition to the Rome flight, United is launching seven short-haul destinations from Denver. These include Buffalo, New York; Pensacola, Florida; North Bend, Oregon; Peoria, Illinois; Redding, California; Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada; and Wilmington, North Carolina. Flights to Redding, Regina, and Wilmington will be nonstop services from Denver for the first time.

Some of these domestic routes will only be available during the peak summer months. This expansion is part of United's broader investment strategy at Denver International Airport. Recent developments include new United Clubs and enhanced check-in facilities.

Southwest Airlines remains a major competitor for United in Denver as both airlines vie for market dominance. Despite this rivalry, United appears committed to maintaining its presence in Denver over the long term.

Jonna McGrath, vice president of United's Denver hub stated: "United's continued commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience in Denver is underscored by these new routes and the nearly $1 billion in investments we have made to enhance the customer experience and bring greater convenience."
