Norse Atlantic Airways has announced its plans to move operations to the new Terminal 6 at John F. Kennedy International Airport starting in 2026. The airline, currently operating out of Terminal 7, is the 15th largest carrier at JFK and offers six daily nonstop flights to Europe.

Bård Nordhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at Norse Atlantic Airways, stated, "JFK remains a cornerstone in our network strategy, serving as a gateway between the United States and Europe. Establishing Terminal 6 as our main hub in 2026 will enable us to offer an even more seamless and modern travel experience to our passengers."

The first stages of Terminal 6 are set to open in 2026. The terminal will feature NYC-inspired shopping and dining options, lounges, new amenities, curated public art, sustainable features, and convenient access from the TSA security checkpoint exit to all gates.

Steve Thody, CEO of JFK Millennium Partners—the company responsible for managing Terminal 7 and developing Terminal 6—expressed enthusiasm about Norse Atlantic's move: “We have enjoyed a fantastic partnership with Norse Atlantic since the very beginning of their JFK T7 operations, and are excited to have them join us at the new T6.”

Terminal 6 is part of a $19 billion transformation project by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey aimed at turning JFK into a world-class gateway. It will eventually house ten gates capable of accommodating widebody aircraft and is expected to be fully operational by 2028.

Other airlines confirmed for Terminal 6 include Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, and SWISS.
