The upcoming year is set to bring several significant changes to the operations of the Airbus A380 across various airlines. These changes will affect routes and frequencies for six out of the ten airlines currently flying this aircraft model.

British Airways plans to introduce a double daily A380 service between London Heathrow and San Francisco from March 30 to May 31, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER during this period. This change will increase daily seats by 30% to 1,876, with a notable rise in economy class capacity.

Emirates has announced an unprecedented triple daily A380 service to Singapore starting December 2025. The airline has been operating the A380 on this route since September 2012, and the new schedule marks a significant expansion.

Etihad will increase its A380 flights to London Heathrow to three times daily from July 1 until September 30, revisiting a frequency last seen in peak summer 2019.

Korean Air plans to cease using the A380 on its Los Angeles route from March 30, switching to the Boeing 747-8i instead. However, the A380 is expected to return for winter operations at the end of October 2025. Similarly, Korean Air's New York JFK route will see a transition from the A380 to the Boeing 777-300ER.

Qatar Airways will replace its Doha-Perth A380 service with a Boeing 777-300ER from June 25 until October 26.

Singapore Airlines will temporarily suspend its A380 services to Delhi and Mumbai in January but will compensate with increased flight frequencies before returning to normal schedules in February. During January, Singapore Airlines' flights to Mumbai will become its carrier's most-served route globally with multiple aircraft types including the A350-900 and Boeing models.

These operational shifts are aligned with broader changes as airlines adjust their strategies ahead of new seasonal schedules commencing on March 30. Further modifications may occur over summer and next winter as airlines continue adapting their services.
